A list of arcs, events, or any kind of other relevant ongoings in specific areas of the sub. This is sort of a mini-overview of what each major area's current canon ongoings are.
Not all is common IC knowledge, so read carefully to see what your character might know of the situation. More information can often be obtained by RPing with others in an area.
Description: Now that Ame is free from the Oni, the infrastructure and economy are undergoing reconstruction and revitalization. The new leader of the village is doing well in this regard, but of course it's a bit of a lengthy process and there are growing pains involved.
Participants: Ame-nin and allies of Amegakure.
How to participate: Participants must via RP forge an alliance and/or relation of some sort with Amegakure to help out. It is through RP that players can figure out how to help out and what is needed. This is a largely fluid RP hook.
Who knows about it ICly: The Oni lock down and rule of Amegakure is well-known by all, so is the fact that the village has had to recover from that.
Description: Raki seized control of Sunagakure and his most loyal Outlanders have been put into the top positions of governance.
Participants: Suna-nin and allies
How to participate: Find or start a relevant RP to discuss the ongoing events and connect with others involved in the arc.
Who knows about it ICly: Everyone knows that Raki is in charge and through rather shady circumstances. Suna-nin would know that he's responsible for his father's death many years ago, and most likely killed Gaara. It's just so hard to get more information when his cronies occupy all the positions of importance.
Trouble in the Land of Earth
Description: Strange enemies have been attacking villages, causing trouble, and giving the local ninja forces the run around in the Land of Earth. They pop up from nowhere and are capable of great destruction. There is no predicting where they will strike next.
How to participate: RP about the ongoing events and start RPs to investigate and learn more about what is going on. Contact the mods if there is sufficient player interest in this.
Who knows about it ICly: Everyone knows there's something going on, but what exactly is only known to Iwa-nin. There might be a few PCs who have seen more and know a bit more.
Description: Now that the Oni Lord no longer rampages in Kumo, the infrastructure and economy are undergoing reconstruction and revitalization. The Forgotten have integrated into the government and society of Kumo, which is causing some tensions and hard feelings between the two groups. It's a bit of a political balance going on there and things are being run slightly different from most other ninja villages.
Participants: Kumo-nin and allies of Kumogakure.
How to participate: Participants must via RP forge an alliance and/or relation of some sort with Kumo to help out. It is through RP that players can figure out how to help out and what is needed. This is a largely fluid RP hook.
Who knows about it ICly: Everyone knows that the Oni Lord took over the village, basically annihilated it, and was then destroyed himself. The finer points of Kumo's post-reconstruction economy and society are known best to Kumo-nin and those who have befriended them. For example, the role of the Forgotten in the village's governance and security, as well as tensions between the Forgotten and Ninjas, would be familiar to Kumo-nin but not others.
Trouble in the Land of Sound
Description: After an unnatural winter and many troubles, the founder of Hoshi Suuhai died and strife enveloped the newly founded city. It seems it's being held together somehow.
Participants: Sound-nin, Hoshi Suuhai residents, and those interested in investigating the ongoings.
How to participate: Live in the Sound and/or investigate the Sound and see what is going on.
Who knows about it ICly: The place is shrouded in mystery and the inhabitants are very anti-outsider. Not that they really trust their own neighbors, but better a fellow Sound inhabitant than an Outsider.
See the Storyline page and individual pages for information on the problems facing each village for ideas on what will be coming up.
