Story:[]
With Konoha in shambles, it was harder for shinobi to go up in rank. Haydon and Kurai, though ready to become jonin, had no way to properly rank up with Konoha practically not even being a village anymore. Jeisen, being the lovely, generous and incredible Hokage-sama he is, managed to find another way. The two ninja would go after a missing-nin Konoha had been hunting for a small while, as a test of sorts, to see if they really were strong enough. Said missing-nin was from ROOT, a long disbanded division of the ANBU, but who still lingered even decades after the original ROOT squad. He flew from the village just before the Crimson Lotus attacked, bringing a small group of other now-missing-nin with him. The two shinobi, Kurai and Haydon, are supposed to catch this rebel ex-ROOT, and bring his mask back, so they can finally go back to their village as proper jonin.

Haydon and Kurai were sent to kill the ex-ROOT shinobi. They first went to a small town, where they entered a pub that seemed full of people. Inside was no one suspicious, and as they sat near the bar, they talked with the barwoman, who acted as an informant and gave them info that the ROOT had gone to the north of the town, torwards the hills, staying little to not time in the small town.
As they went that way, the town vanished, showing it was actually a Genjutsu all this time, the town being nothing but rubble and the remains of maybe an once prosperous town. They were ambushed in a forest by the ROOT squad, with Kenshin, the leader, also there. After fighting, Kenshin took his mask off to reveal he was Hikari's, Kurai's brother, all this time. After a brief scuffle, Kurai chidori'd Hikari and took his Sharingan, him and Haydon then ranking up.
